    Hi all,

I run a Web Design and SEO company in the UK and I was just curious what other people were charging for local SEO services.

I currently charge £75 per month for low competition keywords ranking. £195 per month for medium competition ranking. £395 per month for high competition ranking and £595 per month for extremely competitive ranking.

I outsource most of my work, but it feels like my prices might be way off and a lot cheaper than they should be.

I'd really appreciate any feedback on pricing.

    Thanks a lot!

Wherever you may be in the world, pricing SEO services is something that you should base not only on the strength of the competition that you have within the UK. Remember that clients can always outsource their content even from other countries. So, see to it that you have your prices set depending on the condition of the international market.

most customers do not really have a clue on seo costs, they are more interested in roi.

show them what a 6 month adwords campaign would cost and show them what you will do in 6 months, always tie them in for a min 6 months

If you really want to know, google search your competitors.

ANd there's lots of pricing models too.

The prices of the services of your competitors and their level of success should help you decide on how to price your services fairly.

I did freelance consultancy in the UK for some time, my price was always exactly the same.

The max I thought safe to ask for + %15, and to clarify my charge was always fair as I knew the value of ranking each site.

If you are selling super yachts and charging £500 a month you may want to think about it.

You can't fix the prices in SEO, it varies with the situation. Depending on competition and various other factors the price may go high or low. Fixing a price without proper research about your client's keyword is not advisable in SEO.

Hello: i am not so good seo man. but i think i am good in selling spending more than 12 years studing it
i think ur price have to be each site its case and i think for such selling service you have to use our price from lower case price and for you it's £75 i've see allot of london seo companys price start from 600 and it's working
each site have to study it
    1- competition
2- price of what ur client selling. depend on ur service price. (Game On) what he says was correct you can't charg baby clothes online shop same as who is selling car. Profit are diffrants and bussines owner spending are diffrents you have to keep it in mind his Profit.
3- what ur client can invest ( his budget ) for not lossing any client. and bulid link in money the can spend i mean his ranking in #1 will take more time. and it's also profit for ur company
    and good luck

Don't confuse "amount of competition" with "strength of competition".
Every situation is different and has to be SEO'd accordingly.
Your niche my have low competition in terms of numbers however they may be heavily SEO'd
in terms of keywords, pages, links and social shares due to the profit to be made in a small pool.
You cannot quote a general price without doing research and analysis or you could find yourself
working long hours for very little money.

I dont know the pricing in UK fo SEO, but i would suggest you to keep it competitive considering international open market. At the end, Quality of your service will decide the price, not you.

In most cases I never suggest fixed pricing for keywords.

Mainly because your highest price there i.e. £595 still won't be enough to rank for keywords like Payday loans or car insurance.

I know that's an extreme example but I think you get my point.
