Not sure if this is the right forum to post in, but this is for White Hat SEO tactics.

I'm going to be bidding on a new client from a referral that has just about 55,000 img and a links that need to be changed for the best SEO optimization. I'm trying to come up with a decent number to charge for something like that, but how do some of you that charge for this stuff, charge for a huge freaking number like that?

I'm used to maybe up to 200-300 links that need to be updated. This will take me like a month solid just to update all of those...probably have to build a custom script to go through all of them, but still will still require a significant amount of time.

    Any help is appreciated...

Something around 900$ to 1500$ would do good

Really depends on what your time is worth.

If it takes you a full months worth of work to do this then the question you have to ask yourself is how much would you make if you did not take this job?

If you normally make $2k a month than that is what you need to charge. If you normally make $10k than that is what you need to charge.

No sense in taking a job and losing money on it. Do not undersell yourself just to get the job, if the client is not willing to pay your going rate then let him go to the low bidder. Then when he finds out that they did a crappy job he will be back for you to fix it and you can charge him more the second time around because he lowballed some incompetent and they really screwed things up.

Find out how much a freelancer in india will charge you to do the work. Multiply that by 4 and you know how much to charge. Then hand it off to the india guy.
