If you create another post after your last post does the previous post still continue to get views? Like if it was on the same day

Not just last, even your quite old posts also still keep getting views. Posting new posts doesn't stop views on previous posts.
 
Yes. That if it passes the first round of views. Esentially they come in steps and it would advance only if it meets some criteria for watch time/engagement
 
Yeah, it can still get views. I’ve had older posts keep getting views even after I posted again the same day, so I wouldnt worry too much about that.
 
Oh yes ofc it continous to get views, Literally the oldest content in your account can also get views so its all normal.

Yes, your previous post will continue to get views even if you create a new one on the same day.


Btw, i got a method from where one can get views likes and follows from them without your efforts. It's actually algo.... Glitch.

I got 21.3M views allover in just 6 days. And 15k+ Follows by it.

absolutely the older post can continue to get views. the new post will not necessarily mean that the older post is dead. if the older post is continuing to get clicks, comments or likes, then it could continue to show up regardless of what other post u have publisshed that same day.
 
Yeah, the previous post can still keep getting views. Posting another Reel the same day doesn’t automatically stop the first one from being pushed.

Yes it gets views as well as with any post you create. If you're not getting views at all, either your account is too new or you don't have quality content.

I am a new creator and have posted 10 videos till now. This happens with me as well: whenever I upload a new video, my previous video stops getting views.
 
Yeah, the older post can still get views. I have had posts continue getting views after uploading something new the same day, so I would not worry too much about the timing.
 
search and recommendations can keep sending people to the older post even after you publish something new.

The previous posts still grow. In order to prevent this growth from stopping, space multiple posts by at least 3 to 4 hours so they don't compete against each other in the algorithm.
 
Posting duplicate content on the same day does not negatively affect view counts. in fact, both videos might end up receiving equal recommendations.

After every upload, the previous post stops getting views; I think this is normal behavior. Keep posting, and once you earn Instagram's trust, all your videos will grow together.

better to upload more if you have the time anyway, get an idea of what is working
 
Yes, previous posts will continue to receive views. Posting new content does not "delete" or stop the distribution of older posts.
 
Yep, the older post can still get views. Check its hourly views in analytics after uploading the new one. If views drop, compare watch time and engagement before blaming your posting schedule. I wouldn't delete or repost it just because it slows down for a few hours.

sure enough the old post will also attract some views.posting a new one rarely means turning off the vissibility for the old one.in case the old one is attracting views anyway, then the platform will go on serving the post to people. no need to be overly concerned about posting two times in one day.
