Preventing Writer's Block [GUIDE]

I find exercise and/or smoking weed really helps me to conjour up ideas. I then note these down and review the following day and either elaborate on them or discard them.

I was writing this guide oh how to quit addiction a detailed guide talking about my own experience and I got driftied away till I found myself writing about my own childhood and stuff that are irrelevant xD

For those of you that don't write your own blog content, probably won't experience Writer's Block but for anybody that does, you will know exactly what Writer's Block is and how it can affect your Writing Technique and Efficiency.

What is Writer's Block?
Writer's Block is where you get a Mental Block within your Thought Process which results in you forgetting what you want to write or what you wanted to write. It's something that happens often, halfway through a Blog Post and it can result in Blog Posts being unfinished and thoughts/ideas being lost.

When Do You Experience Writer's Block?
You experience Writer's Block when writing content, however, it's not specific. You could be writing a Meta Description, a 2000 Word Blog Post, A Facebook Post, anything that involves written content.

What Does It Feel Like?
Writer's Block as mentioned above is a Mental Block. It basically feels like a Loss of Thoughts and it is something that a lot of Writers Experience when creating Written Content. You could have a Fantastic Idea for your Blog Post that involves a structure, however, when you come to create the post and the idea, you forget. The idea has totally left your mind and thought process.

How Can You Prevent Writer's Block?
This is the key question. How can you Prevent Writer's Block? The main way to Prevent Writer's Block is to PLAN. This allows you to plan ahead with your piece of Written Content, whether that be a Blog Post or a Facebook Post, and store your Thoughts & Ideas for when you come to write your Blog Content.

However, when it comes to planning your Written Content, you need to form a plan that works for you. The plan I use for Content Writing might not suit your needs or seem efficient to you, however, it's what works for me and it's what prevents my own Writer's Block. You can form your own plan and write the parts of your article down which are important to you and your content.

My plan is as follows;
  • Write Down My Blog Title
  • Write All Sub-Headings In Order
  • Write Sub-Heading Information
  • Write My First Paragraph
  • Plan & Save Any Images - Including Featured Image
I find that this process allows me to plan and create multiple pieces of content at once while being the most efficient. As mentioned, this might not directly work for you but the idea is to plan. It's to create your content before actually creating it.

For those of you who experience Writers Block, I hope that this thread helps with your writing and that it allows you to create more blog content in a more efficient manner.

I am one of those people who believe that writer's block is a total myth.

Writer's block is not a myth. It happens to every writer. Sometimes it results in a total loss of creativity, and sometimes it only slows down the writing process. Either way, it can be painful to come up with an idea when you need one.

You and both clearly have different opinions on the matter. Like I said, it is a myth to me.

I think it doesn't happen if you write total fluff. If you are really creative, put jokes and stuff that makes your writing stand out, this can happen.
Fluff and shit that will simply rank is something I could write all day. Something creative, a book or even good sales copy not so much.

I don't know what your definition of total fluff is. I write a variety of stuff including sales copy and I have never been blocked.

For my own blogs, I use dictation blogging

What helps me stay above 20,000 words per day is LINKED MEMORY

I group content together that have the same sources

They have the same core

So when I dictate at the rate of 125 to 150 words per minute, the "essentials" are top of mind and I only need to dictate it in close connection with the SPECIFIC topic of my post for everything to go smoothly WITH LITTLE DUPLICATION

Using this technique, I blast through tons of content for my own passive income blog network

This is really some amazing work flow!

I have faced it a number of times. But now, this is how I write my blogs.
Step 1
Create an outline
Step 2
Write all the headings and sub-headings
Step 3
Write well-researched content according to each heading
Step 4
Write the introductory paragraph
Step 5
Writing meta description, author bio and finding images
Step 6
Re-read all the content
Step 7
Rectify all the mistakes
Step 8
One last read and then publishing
helpful thanks

I find reading fiction for the fun of it helps. Sometimes reading other writer's published work is the push we need to get started on our own pieces. Short stories if you're in a rush.

I did this for years, but for me, if I don't have the passion about the topics, i got the writer's block again.

Sometimes workout, and eating nice foods can help me before writing articles

Here is a thing I realized.

No writer block for me since I realized someone before me has written similar content in the past. So writing like they do from my own perspective is easy. I can use AI or dictate posts for that.

It helps me to think like potential readers when I write anything. What are their biggest fears, desires and emotional bonds related to the topic? These things must be addressed both in the sub-headings and paragraphs (I tend to make emotionally most related sentences bold to catch readers attention and make him read continously). With this state of mind, I can write even in times when I'm completely dry in terms of creativity. Just need to analyze readers.
