Prevent Paypal from Taking My Funds....

as many of you guys know, paypal is really unsecure nowadays, even for sellers

I want to start selling eletronics on ebay, but I'm afraid that after 1-2 months down the road when the buyer receives the products, they file a dispute with paypal saying they didnt receive anything, or not as described.

I know a couple people who sold stuff, and paypal reversed their funds back to the buyers after they received the products, and even after proof of shipment, the sellers were out of luck, and lost the money and products.

Is there any way I can get around this to protect myself?

Can I create a paypal dummy acct, and transfer the payment to a real acct?

Would paypal have the ability to reverse the payment that far when it arrives in the real acct??

Withdraw all money to a seperate bank acc (only for paypal funds)
And when they get there, transfer them to another acc :p.

Do that daily, or whatever, and you'll be fairly safe.

Some how they have a very accurate way to follow your PayPal accounts... I guess I had a couple accounts I f'ed up in the past when I was younger (15-16) that I didn't remember. Didn't think about it being in the negatives and it effecting me now but they caught up with me and shut down my account till I settled the negative balances and complaints. Too bad I couldn't even remember the log in information so I am going threw someone else with PayPal just to receive my money. Be careful and hustle harder and smarter...
 
I waiting for my funds to reach my bank account since 7 days now and I am thinking why it has taken so long..

Any clue.

My bank says they got no clue as yet about the same else it would reflect.
 
If you transfer the money to your bank account, and the buyer files a complaint you will have a negative balance on your Paypal account - and can't use it to sell more stuff without losing money.

So you would have to create a new Paypal account everytime someone files a dispute - and trust me, Paypal aren't stupid. First of all, if you have 3 accounts which pay out to the same bank account they'll know - and would ask you to fix the negative balance or gtfo. Even if you use different bank accounts (would be a hassle) and made typing mistakes in your name and address, they would be looking at your IP address (you would need exclusive proxies) and eBay accounts (you would have to create new ones every time you change Paypal and/or IP - and thereby be loosing your feedback).

So it's not that easy... My advice would be to take pictures of everything - every single step of the process. Pictures of the product, the product in the box, the shipping informaton - everything. And then hope that Paypal likes you the day you get a complaint.
 
Okey i can agree with previous posters.

What could work (this is theory on my part)

Buy a US paypal acc, with debit card, i guess?
Seems easier shame we can't get that here... anyway

Buy a verified pp acc, and as i said in my last post, have as little money on it as possible.
And buy a ebay acc with good feedback
cost for that 100 dollar?

It all depends on how you want to setup your ebay biz i guess..

Oh well i don't have much more advice to give on this topic, eh hope it helps someone.
 
I have access to many good proxies, but I was thinkin more on the lines of...

creating 2 dummy paypal accts, then use one of the dummy accts for ebay, then transfer the payment to the other dummy acct, and then finally transferring it to my real acct, which is a 5 year premier acct, and then withdrawing it to my bank acct from there

this would all be done exclusive on different proxies

would this work??

i dont want to lose my merchandise...

hi,

dont create dummy/fake acc because if they limit that acc
they will ask for proof od address and other stuff and than you are in big trouble. :(

Disputes are a real problem but PayPal is actually more secure both for merchants (seller) and customers (buyer).

To avoid chargeback under the reason "Product/Service not Received" simply provide a tracking number.

To avoid chargeback under the reason "not as described" just provide a good refund policy and have the customer return the product for a full refund within a preset time-frame set on your Ebay ad.

The reason chargeback exist is to prevent merchant from selling crap and to avoid fraud. Unfortunately fraud also affects honest merchants and kills there profit margin.

The key is to have a clean business.

Now as for holding funds for 21 days well that's the results of years of abuse. PayPal has only done that for the past two years. They had to write off hundreds of millions of dollars in chargeback in 2001, 2002, 2003, and 2004. They had to come up with a solution.

Just to be clear I am not a huge fan of PayPal but they have to protect their business before others and their policy is the direct result of years of abuse and fraud from thousands of sellers.
