i want to make a website but but initially the content is gonna be dup, but is it possible prevent indexing by google, alright my plan:
1.create a website with dup cotnent.
2.get traffic from social networks
3.when everything will be good. then rewrite the content-make it unique so thenrank for goo SERP. Thanks in advance will wait your replies guys.

Are you using wordpress? If you are there is a simple option you can select which will stop the entire site from being indexed.

If not, you will need to add a robots.txt to your root domain and disallow all spiders for all categories.

got it will do it with joomla, while i dissallow spiders is it worth building backlinks then?

The best course of action would be to start your site correctly with unique content. Things take time in SEO and what you're trying to do is backwards, building links to a site that doesn't exsist in the engines can't really do any good. Sort your content out first and don't try and hide it from the engines.

Just set the robot.txt to disallow crawlers.
