This may be a basic question, but what is the best thing to use to prevent comment spam on my blog?

I just activate the Akismet. It do the job greatly for my wordpress blog.

Haven't tried it yet, but I heard Bad Behavior is excellent.

Growmap is pretty effective against most comment spammers.

Just change the structure of your comment form to make it unique. This way scrapebox won't be able to post to it as it won't recognize the format and different field names etc...
