So i spent some time looking for a good website or tool that provides some information on any specific website. For example where does most of example.com's traffic come from, how well is it index in search engines, what kind of ads is the site running, whats are some other interest the average browser has on that site, and so on.

I did not have a lot of luck finding anything that was free... most of the stuff provided very little information and is extremely expensive for a beginner media buyer like me. Then out of no where i stumbled upon similarweb.com and I'm pretty impressed for it being a free site. Has a ton of good information.

I can not vouch for the premium service that they offer because i have not tried it out yet. I intend to when my ROI gets a little better and i can actually afford it.

they also have a chrome extension that works well and the ability to check out mobile apps which i have not used yet.

sorry if this has been shared once before, but i have not seen it anywhere on here and i really haven't had the chance to share anything so this seemed like a good opportunity.

Hope this helps some people out!

Just a small edit to point out the tool a little more.

    similarweb.com

Actually ... there is a fair amount of information. It seems like a good place to start with basic information and use different tools to go further in depth.

    Thanks for share.

i was really surprised at the amount of info they provided for free. the website provides more info then the chrome extension, but i find myself using this all the time to gather good info before deciding on how I'm going to run my campaign, it also helps you weed out a lot of garbage sites, ones that just link you in circles. I believe those are called link dumps. Those never convert for me.

similarweb.com is an outstanding tool, i use it periodically myself. Not really a spytool... more of an analytical tool
