You will find either platform extremely limiting. You are MUCH better off just using WordPress. There is a wealth of tutorials online and you can make a WordPress site do ANYTHING.

you are right but as your name suggests, this is easy for you to say. People want simplicity, especially in the early days of a business. You can setup a shopify store in 5 minutes, the setup is unbeatable. You can always make the switch later on.
People have quit creating a website just because they couldn’t figure out wordpress believe it or not.

You are very correct. I have been building websites for many years. I sometimes forget how hard it was when I first started and did not even know how to buy a domain name.
