pressure selling on a webpage?

I have just read an article about many of the hotel booking websites being investigate for using "pressure selling" on their websites.

the question is how does this work?

I have used many of these sites in question and have never felt pressure to buy.

Now I feel like I'm missing a trick hereon my sites and falling for something at the same time.

dose anyone here use "pressure selling" on there site?

Or it could just be they are pushing ones they get the most commission for instead of a balance. Not good for the consumer, EU regulations about fair competition. These sites are trusted by millions
