I've heard that press releases give a lot of link juice. They haven't been my common SEO practice until now.

Would you recommend a submitter or manual submission?

Also any good resource on writing a press release?

If you use PRweb they have a "SEO release" option which allows embedded links. Its like 500 though, I've heard mixed reviews. I think the goal is to have actual news so you get picked up and now just try to game it for links.

I was thinking of writing and submitting on my own. My question is what to expect? How excessively to do it?

PRWeb didn't do squat for me....I had a buy one get two free coupon from them

all three of the releases got impressions but I saw ZERO movement in the SERPS

I do it when I've got the time but usually your article propogates all over the net with your links stripped and a big link back to the PR site, which then has a n0f0ll0w link back to you.
I've heard some people have great results but I find my time is better spent elsewhere.

Hi
Distributing articles for the purpose of building links to a site or for that site?s SEO can be a great way to link build and build your site?s authority status. But a good amount of SEO writers tend to take the easy way out of distributing their content, using only article distribution sites for doing so.
