I'm curious. I work for a lot of big eCommerce companies and want to suggest we do some press releases.

Do you guys do this as part of your off-page SEO strategies?

in 2018, is this still a valid way of building domain authority and getting link juice?

eCommerce? I would focus on Web 2.0 and Social websites.

Social websites? Do you mean social signals like FB, Twitter, LinkedIn?

Yes, they do work.

This is like the 3rd time I answered very similar question this month (that's 4 days). What is going on?!

Press release is great for:
  • spreading your branding
  • diversifying your anchor text profile
  • diversifying link type
  • referral traffic
Also, they indexed easier than other link types so the links actually count.

If you mean domain authority is Google's eyes then yes. If you mean Moz DA then no.

Yeah, they still work. You need the perfect blend of spices with it else it may taste bitter, lol.

I include them in all my white hat campaigns. Good for diversity and @tiiberius basically covered everything

I will say yes for the press release, it helps in getting targeted traffic, authority, diversity etc.,

Yes, PR works if done right. You can get visibility, initial traffic and blacklinks diversity.

Yes, of course. Press release on the targeted location will definitely work.
