I'm running a kickstarter and I'm wanting to get some publicity for it to push some traffic to the kickstarter, which also links back to my main site.
Are these $30 or so gigs for press releases worth it? Or does anyone have any recommendations on directing more traffic to the kickstarter page. It's only running for 30 days so I need something that works fast and am not concerned with the long term value.

Any tips would be great.

A press release wouldn't be an awful idea but there's a catch

If your release isn't good nobody is going to take you seriously.

Kickstarter has to do with real businesses so to persuade people to back you or invest you'll need some top notch or at least halfway decent stuff

That's the part that will be hard to buy with $30 you'll probably want to hire a copywriter if you yourself cannot write it.

Copywriters can cost a pretty penny :)

My project is on pace for 300%+ funding, so I thats not an issue, but I more is better :D
Any tips for writing a good press release and finding a good copywriter?

reddit is one of the best supporters of kickstarters post a detailed post in an appropriate subreddit and you should get some recoignition especially since you have already reached your funding goal
