Press Release outside of the US?

Hey guys, I'm not entirely clear on how Press Releases work. I'm outside of the US, and I'm trying to submit a press release for a local company that will rely heavily on local customers.

So if I use a service like http://www.submitinme.com/press-release-distribution/press-release-services.aspx#home will that be okay? Or do I need to find PR services specific to my country?
