Guys, I was doing research about press releases, and many blog post says press releases are not a worthy option to start with anymore. Is this true? I know back in 2011 -2013 Press releases are so hot and I used to get lots traffic and conversions for my last ventures.

Lots of people said google creates trouble for press releases and I am having a hard time to believe it

What do you think?

Yes and no.

It wont help you rank much but it will give you a shit ton of branded anchor text links which is good for your link profile.

I use PR to diversify my link profile. And a little bit of traffic.

PR is used to diversify your link profile. Traffic wise, it's not so effective.

As most have stated, they're good for link diversification and can be good for branding. On occasion, they can pick up and you can really get some good traffic from them, and sometimes some good links as well, but that's the exception and not the rule. Whether it's worth it depends on your business and your goals.

Being owner of a press release site i am in position to answer you.
1.Tariff wise it will not benifit you much, but it will help you in your link profiling.
2.dont go for any garbage auto approve pr site, most of those are not even in google
3.yes press release is back in trend.my site is hardly old and i use to receive 10 plus submission every day(most of those got rejected straight).

Press release was powerful since 2006 & still have same power if used properly.

I dont remember that I have ever seen ranking a Press Release on Google.

I did order for a press release package awhile ago. Here is my report.
1. I didn't see any SERP movement
2. I was lucky to be in google news. (Not my site though, but one of the PR)
3. Traffic? Sales? Zero
4. Link diversity. Yes.

Well, it was $29.

Thank You for all the reply trying to use prweb premium package! what do you guys think should use it for first release?

Don't think of it as creating backlinks. Think of it as a Public Relations exercise. You will get shitload of branded anchor links which are excellent for link diversity post which you can go and get some high metrics targeted anchor text links.

PR's can be used to get some authority no-follow links and balancing your link profile.
