Prepare to be blown away...12 year old Einstein

can he solve my GFX LOAD ERROR in xrumer

also, the article doesn't make sense. there is no such thing as a 'platonic girlfriend'. that's like saying a 'snake walked' up to you and bit you. a lot of people can't translate that intelligence, particularly autistic genius kids, into things like success with women. it's crazy because you would expect them to easily figure out social interactions if they can compute the universe's biggest questions, but unfortunately that's not the case. i would much prefer my son to be semi-retarded and have a NON platonic girlfriend. sure you wouldn't hear about him on the daily news, but at least he would have a chill and relaxed life. 8 or 9 and being consumed by mathematics? what kind of freaking childhood is that...

Ditto, I wouldnt wish my kid to be genius, thats very robotic and unnatural for me.

And btw, Im not a kid anymore but I can surely blow you away:p

Seriously, people...there are a LOT of really gifted kids out there like Jake, they're just in a place where they're not noticed. He's not a genius. There's no such thing as genius. The majority of the american population are LASY mentally because they are TAUGHT to be this way. We ALL have "genius" potential. If you just open you're eyes a bit and perhaps do a little bit if reading on the subject, you'll realize that the brain is capable of learning at incredible speeds and is completely PLASTIC and ADAPTABLE. This means, that no matter what age you are, the more you USE your brain, the quicker (smarter) you'll become. Jake just started early and didn't focus on what people thought about what he was doing. He just DID it because he liked it. All of the greatest minds in history were like that. Einstein. Tesla. Jefferson. Ben Franklin. Marie Curie. Oppenheimer. Feynman. Divinci. All of the nobel laureates. Ben Carson (brain surgeon). John Nash. The only difference between THEM and YOU is that they were confident in their own abilities (most of the time) and KNEW that there was something BETTER for them than what they had. They had goals and dreams and were DETERMINED to make them happen no matter what others thought. Invent wireless technology and send an electrical signal without a cable? Tesla did it. Be the first black brain surgeon? Carson did it. Find ONE math equation that explains the universe in all it's vastness? Einstein died trying to find it. YOU can do ANYTHING....and I do mean ANYTHING if you have an idea and a PLAN to make that idea a reality. Age is irrelevant. Oh yeah...and Asperger Syndrome is a bunch of made-up-crap just like ADHD. It doesn't exist. Anyone who is diagnosed with it is just a very introspective person with an intense love of thinking. Naturally, when you swim in your head a lot, you tend to lack social skills because you spend all of your time thinking. It's not a disorder or disease. Any person with this "asperger syndrome" can easily be CURED from the "disorder" by simply learning how to be more social with others. It really is that easy. There IS such a thing as autisim though...but they're NOT one in the same. Just my two cents. ;)

He needs to get into IM. His conversion rates would be like 90%+ lol. Astrophysics is interesting but there's a lot more money in IM.

smart kid.. the TPTB will make very good use of him.. we wont see him anymore.

I wish I could be that smart ...

I really hope this kid can make a cure for cancer, or figure out the meaning of life.

BUT, even more, I hope he goes into something he wants, instead of an area of profession where someone else wants him too.

Because, he can literally do WHATEVER he wants. Most people can't.
