Premium Listing Templates

I'm a web designer and someone I know asked me to sell some stuff on eBay for him bc he doesn't have the time. I thought, "why not."

In the past I had remembered that you could design your listing with standard HTML, so I Googled a bit for some templates. Turns out:

A. eBay has changed their policy about what forms of code you can use and it's pretty much limitless now as to what you can design.
B. there is nothing but sh** templates online. Seriously.

I was wondering, my fellow Ebay cohorts, if there is a market for really good looking listing templates? I notice 99.5% don't use any HTML at all and just write out the description. Would you consider paying for something that looks really crisp and modern for all your listings at, say, $10p/month for unlimited use? Of course I'd totally let BHW users use them for free as publicity! Whatcha think?

Well actually there is category on ebay that you can use to sell listing or store template. and if you look at it, people actually bought it (I also have some of my templates sold in the past). So maybe yes there is still market to explore.

I just saw that yesterday, badut. Looks like there's still a market for selling about one per week. I just thought it might be a bit more considering there's 3000+ searches per month for, "ebay templates."

Think I'm gonna spend a month and set this all up. When I get a few done I'll be back on BHW to give some out and let you guys be my free marketing, by link on the bottom of said templates.

What tool do you use to get this stats?

I would be interested to know if better template increases conversion rates. It would be hard to a/b split test them because of so many variables. Everyone probably assumes that the better template pages would get a better conversion, but its hard to say. For example sometimes bad looking ads convert higher than cool designed ads.
