This may be the oldest trick in the game, but it's something that just happened to me for the first time.
I'm brainstorming domain names for a client.
I search for any existing word and it shows up as premium. Even crazy words.
This thing is looking up a dictionary and it's charging hundreds of dollars for domains based on their CPC keyword value. Regular reg fee for one gTLD is like 28 bucks or something, it's asking for 400 bucks.
I just checked whois and the domains I was prospecting aren't registered.
It's charging some multiple of KW CPC price.
We live in interesting times. How much would the first registration of money.com cost in 2020?
