Hey guys,

Suppose you have a PREMIUM domain name, but it's a random country extension, such as .az, .bh, etc.

Is it worth anything? And by premium I mean PREMIUM, like plumber.az, datingonline.az, etc.

Thanks.

As far as I know it does not care, unless the keyword from the domain name is from Azerbaijan.

^^ Could you clarify? Didn't quite understand your post... who's "it"?

Also, I mean worth anything in terms of if I wanted to sell it, would anyone see value in it?

short andwer: NO
long answer: Why buy a premium domain name that has Azerbaijan as country code. The Premium domains are .com,.org and some .net

Kinda thread stealing here lol but how do you know which domain is premium?

Sorry if this is an extremely nooby question but i recently bought a domain that i think is good but im a noob :D

A premium domain on a CCTLD is okay if you're targeting that country as they are brandable, but I wouldn't use a CCTLD for a worldwide presence. So yeah they're alright as they have good development potential so you should be able to get something from them, but they aren't as good as the TLD.

Poker.anything is always worth something.

The country extension really renders it less valuable I would expect.

Usually squatting/reselling isn't worth the trouble and doesn't payoff. I'd research that extension on afternic or similar sites to see what others are asking and see if you can track down any bids on similar domains to give you an idea of the value. If you find premium keywords on the domain selling for less than what you think yours is worth and they can't even move them, you'll know you're better off not buying.
