Preferred way to mask IP?

I know there are a lot of ways to do this, setting up your own proxy server, using vpn, or tor. I'm curious to which one most ppl prefer to use?
i used to like using tor, it's quick and easy, but the speed is a pain, sometimes it takes like 30 secs to load a page.
any thoughts? thx!

I am currently using a VPN provider (pretty famous one, nothing fancy).
Have you tried going into a coffee shop and use their free wifi to mask yours??

I don't trust the free wifi in coffee shops lol
they're usually unencrypted, bet if someone started sniffing the network there they can see a load of stuff

right now I agree that VPN is probably the most efficient (taking internet speeds and time/effort it takes to set things up....
just curious what other ppl prefer
