After doing nothing but whitehat on a site with 3 keywords for about a month (Site was 4 months old)I achieved G ranks, 22,9,8. That is where I hit the wall and didn't move at all. The first keyword is highly competitive or at least getting that way quick, the other are the same way. I just made an investment (or I hope) into it by doing some blackhat seo work. I began yesterday and already all my ranks have dropped out of the top 100 but still indexed. Everyone always says it comes back stronger, do you think with all the whitehat work getting me that far that blackhat will take it to the next level?

The Google dance, it is normal. You will come back stronger. Keep doing what you are doing, keep the velocity up and be patient. You will make several of these bounces most likely. You will probably end up gaining at least 2-3 positions if not more. The highly competitive kw may take some more firepower.
Firepower is in order as we speak. I will share the results which most likely I am expecting up to a month or more to take place. This is one of multiple sites I have set up. The second most recent was an experiment of backlinking and web 2.0 properties, it appears web 2.0 has a larger effect on Y and B, while raping a site with backlinks helps more in G. My previous income goal was met then lost due to a lack of keeping up with SEO work. I am only playing in high competition niches because it has already been proven to me that it is well worth it, but may do some micro niche sites for that extra change.
