OK, so I know that this might be beyond the capabilities of most those here but its the basis for an idea of how we can game the Google system long into it's RankBrain era.

Machine learning may be able to (hopefully) be put into use in a consumer-level product to make recommended changes to your site and SEO strategy one day.

Not as difficult as you might think if you have a programmer at your disposal (or are a programmer). I've been using machine learning on some small non-SERP related tasks over the past year or so and its been surprisingly helpful. For RIGHT NOW what the article describes is near rocket science as far as 99.9% of us here are concerned. BUT... eventually the technology will surface in a useful product by somebody like Moz or Semrush or Ahrefs whatever I'm sure.
