There's no such thing as a domain name pre-order, regardless of what some registrar says (there's a reason the big and respectable registrars don't offer them). You may want to learn a little more about the process of new TLDs- you're hardly guaranteed the domain names above. The registrar may simply attempt to buy them when they become publicly available, which is much too late to register most valuable domains.
It's just a marketing gimmick by less than respectable registrars. If you posted this on one of the big two domaining forums you'd get laughed at.

He most likely "pre-ordered" them at United Domains.
Not a bad business model, to tell you the truth. Get people to psychologically commit to a domain name and if the domain is available they'll most likely purchase the domain at this second-tier registrar. Of course, if the domain is any good, it probably won't be.

I'm wondering how transparent this landrush will be.
I predict that lots of these "reserved" domains are in fact the registrars mining for good ideas, they'll register the best ones and resell them as premium domains ....
