Pray for the Philippines

Fortunately for us, we live in a relatively high place. But most of our relatives don't, and they are forced to evacuate their homes. May God stop this flood, so many lives are in pain right now..

I prayed, and will pray continuously. I wish that Philippines and other countries that are facing nature's wrath at present will survive it and peace, hope, health, and happiness, and all good things will return home very soon. There is yet another Force above nature, and it doesn't have the fury, but has the right answers to it -- its Merciful Grace and Love in Abundance. And it has shown before that it exists and works -- one of those last times It showed its existence was in the US last year and subsided one of the nature's worst furies...

So let's all calm down and pray to it to help again. That mighty Force has never failed...

Don't worry, with that Huge Force around, Real Help is at hand and is working right through Now, and will work through every coming moment... everything will be all right once again. Amen!

God bless you and all your lovely people out there.

The thing that gets me is how incredibly unsanitary flood waters like these are. People are just going on with their everyday life, and walking through the local market. Sure enough, there is plenty of glass, and other materials. The water itself does not do in the most people, it is the infections that do.

There was one time I was on my way to work, and the bus wasn't moving because of waist-deep floods. This happened about 4 years ago before I discovered IM and I had to go to work because I was working in a call center so yeah, they don't care if we're flooded or not. I had to go down the bus and walk through waist-deep floods so I can go back home. I remember thinking all the bad things happening to my penis while I was walking through the flood.

To everyone:

Thanks again for the words of encouragement. As an update, the sun is finally starting to shine!

Tropical Storm Maring is already out of the country but it's still raining non-stop from where I am now (Quezon City). Hopefully, tomorrow will be a better day.

To my fellow Pinoys/Pinays here in BHW, keep safe.

To all, thanks for the prayers, we need them!

Storm's almost out of the Philippines. Classes have been suspended till friday. Me and my hubby have been stuck in bed for the whole week.

Thanks for the update, very relived to know the people can still have some fun while the typoon is growing tired messing your homeland friend. Only prayer and thoughts I have for everyone affected right now.

Sorry for bumping the thread. I hope the Mods won't mind. I just need to post something very important.

As most of you know, the Philippines was hit with one of the strongest typhoons in modern history. In fact, some experts are saying that it's the strongest typhoon to make landfall.

Unfortunately for a lot of my countrymen, they need a lot of help. Thousands of people are feared dead and millions are homeless with literally nothing but the clothes on their back.

This is why I decided to try and pitch in.

Starting now until November 17, 2013 11:59pm MNL time, I will be donating 5% of the total orders to Red Cross Philippines. I chose them because they're always visible during times like this, so I know they'll put the donation to good use. No order is too small. It will add up.

So again, from now to November 17, 2013, I pledge to donate 5% of the total orders to Red Cross Philippines. I will post a screenshot on my BST. For transparency, please post here that you made an order and the amount so that people will know how much I should donate.

Now, you don't have to order in order to help. If you prefer, you can donate directly to Red Cross Philippines. You can donate via PayPal:

http://www.redcross.org.ph/donate

If you have used clothes that you want to donate, I really don't know how you can send them to the Philippines. You can try approaching delivery companies that deliver to the Philippines like LBC. They usually accept donations.

Thanks in advance! Me and my countrymen thank you!
