Practical Tips for Being Listed under Google News?

Hi there,

Just wanted to discuss any practical tips for Google news? All the general rules are everywhere, e.g. freshness, schema, relevance, location, and etc.,
but taking following content as example, apparently, the content and website are not strong "News" related, however, so many content from their site are listing under Google news.
So, any practical tips or advanced techniques can help to display in Google News?

Honestly, it’s more about being consistent than “tricks”.

Sites that get into Google News usually post fresh, timely content regularly and follow a clear news-style format.

Also helps if your site builds topical authority around current events, not just random posts.

Thanks for the reply, and I do respect it, and NO offence, I see other websites "constantly" publish similar topics similar way and frequency, but nearly no result in Google News unless use site: operator. (Take wukongsch.com/blog as example.)
That's why I wanted to discuss any tricks.

And for the website in OP, I didn't see the topics are news related, the style looks like news.
Mind to give further opinions or introduce more?

Google News itself is still active, but the old Publisher Center submission method is gone. Since April 25, 2024, you can’t manually set up a Google News publication like before. Google now automatically considers eligible sites and auto generates publication pages. So the game now is not “get approved manually,” but build a trustworthy niche news site with original content, clear authors/dates, and strong topical authority.

Thanks for reply and I get the point, but as OP said, apparently, the "Lingoace" is not building the trustworthy niche news site but just blog pages and pillar pages (under blog), I haven't found anything different compare Lingoace and other same-niche sites (like Wukong Education in example).
So if there is any practical findings and tips other than the "general rules", kindly discuss.

I think the gap is often not “better content” but better news packaging. Google News looks at relevance, freshness, authority, prominence, etc, and also wants clear dates, bylines, publisher info, and contact details. So two sites can look similar, but one may send clean publisher signals to Google.

So, separate news from pillar content, tighten bylines/dates/publisher identity, keep one clean news angle per section, and measure by fresh query visibility, not site, old manual Google News submission is gone anyway, so cleaner trust/classification signals matter more now.

Consistency and authority matter more than “news” niche alone. Publish timely content in a clear news format, build author trust, and keep a clean structure (dates, headlines, schema).Also, strong internal linking to fresh pieces + getting initial traction (indexing speed, crawl frequency) seems to help a lot in practice.

Thanks for all your replies, I do respect them, but I'm not sure if you did checked the 2 samples site or not, for lingoace (appears in Google News) and wukongsch (not in Google News), all are doing publish for "consistency" and same niche, keep same topic focus.
They are good example I wanted to learn as they are focusing on very same niche and way and frequency to publish content, structured data, and the factors I checked.
So I wanted to ask practical discussions.
Kindly share findings if you find the real-differences between the 2 sites.
