So far I've been mostly following but would like to contribute a little as well with a little trick that I came a cross the other day. I've posted this on my site as well, don't wanna advertise but if someone is interested to know what it is please pm me. Now this is very easy thing to do, it takes less then 5 minutes. 1. Go to adobe.com. 2. Click on ?Community? and scroll down to where it says ?Forums?. 3. Pick any forum and create an account. 4. Go to your profile and under the picture click on ?Edit Forum Profile?. 5. Type in your URl in the space provided and you are done :) Also I don?t think Adobe minds you spreading your link around so make a couple of posts here and there with your link in it. Enjoy and give thanks is you feel like I deserve it :)

Advertise on BHW
This is nothing new. It's just a kind of "Angela / Paul backlinks"
 
well that depends where you place it, which forum since they all have different PRs I believe.
 
Posting your link on your profile will not get you a PR9 ******** link since your profile page does not have a PR9.

Adobe.com th HP does, but not your profile page.
 
This is true you wont get a PR 9 backlink. Although by increasing your backlinks internally you will increase your profile backlink page rank. Do this by making your signature link to your profile link with your desired anchor text.

While this maybe true, you'd be much better off just finding a few forums that have high PR and making posts in those with a signature link pointing back to your site.

Or just find a profile page that has high PR.
 
Yeah..there are a ton of them, I could throw out a thousand right now.
 
For an even higher PR and equally useful (see below) free backlink...just log into your gmail account and add a 'profile'. In the profile you can put a URL. BAM! Automatic backlink on the highest possible PR - Googster itself!

How useful is it? Not that much...not useless but about as useful as any link on a page from an 'authority' site - if the page itself has no ranking.

On the other hand, Google LOVES Google. Why do you think blogger gets such great indexing and attention? :D

Thanks Goranco for that post, although we may not get any PR for our profile page, but it could be useful, who knows except Google.
 
@Goranco - Do you know other sites like these which might be helpful.
 
ya you can create profile but its not mean u get Pr9 page link

just check first then post these type of thread
 
Google sees it as a vote of confidence. It does not matter if the page you leave your link is PR0. As long as the Home page has a High Pr, you will see a move in SERP. This is from my experience.

I have a site ranked first page for a keyword that has over 33m results and all i did was profile backlinks from High PR sites.

Don`t let anyone tell you something doesn`t work, just go out and try it and prove if it does work or not!
 
Just took a quick look at Adobe and it seems that only very few profile pages have any PR - even profiles with thousands of posts show up as n/a.

Wonder if those I found with PR got inbound links from outside Adobe.
 
From my personal experience only backlinks with relevance to linked page matter.
If your target page is about "XYZ" and the page with the backlink is about "ABC" is all wothless on medium/long term.
 
I have to strongly disagree. Since google came out and said that no-follow links still have link juice, i've noticed that while a tiny amount does matter upon relevance, don't bother yourself entirely on it
