PR9 Facebook page???

Today at work I was messing around with my facebook page and the rank checker plugin I have for firefox said it was a 9... well this plugin is a bit wonky so I tend not to trust it. So then I come home and have a look at it on my home PC that has some other PRC addon and it says my facebook page is a pr9 and then I tested it in one of those online checkers and it said 9....

WTF, How the hell do you get a PR9 Facebook page??? I have not been building links to it... And I doubt it is really worth anything anyway... Just trying to figure out why I have a PR of 9!

Google is sooo fucked up for so many reasons.....

Well, that's one strong FB page..My highest one is a PR4...Good Luck
 
OP do you have lots of activity on your page? Lots of likes? Comments?

Mine is PR 3 and I have lots going on.

Intrested to know how the pr9.
 
that is pretty amazing, I have a pretty active FB page but it is still PR4!

Actually no, my page is rather pathetic as I am not really into social media personally... I have about 40 friends, a few videos, not much else. I am sure I is a glitch of some kind because it does not rank #1 for my name in search results....

I just thought it was odd and wanted to see if anyone else had a high PR Facebook page that seemed a bit un-worthy of the grade.

With everything Google is doing at the moment, I am sure this is another one of their fuckups.
 
Wow.. Cool.. I just checked my site's fanpage and its PR3.. Higher than my main site..

Its the page rank of Facebook itself, your PR checker must be doing something wrong.
 
one of my facebook fan pages is PR9 aswell. not much going on, only 300 fans but aged.
My other fanpage is PR3

This is WHY:

The PR9 fanpage is indexed under local facebook: de-de.facebook.com/facebookfanpage

The PR3 under facebook.de/facebookfanpage

So if your site isnt indexed as facebook.com/name but en-en.facebook.com/name for example it shows PR9 !

Yeah that is what I thought also until I tested in on 3 different scripts and every one of them said PR9.

It's a glitch for sure, but not on my end.

Too bad Facebook links are n0follow!!! ;-)
 
If it is the facebook page itself, then why do I have a 9 and other have a 4 or a 5 or a 3??? Havent you read all the other replies on this thread or are you just agreeing to get your post count up?

Others may be using different tools. Try to check other FB pages with the tool you're using.

As the main site url gets higher pr, it becomes a lot easier to rank inner pages.
Since facebook is pr 9 it is very easy to get pr 3,4,5,6 with pages you made on facebook.
 
Some tools/plugins are not always accurate. Try to check the rank from 3-4 different sources.

I use prchecker.info as it shows the pagerank of exact url (mainpage or subpage).
 
I have a page with 200k fans.. and I don't know what to do with it. I notice every time I post something sure will have around 20ppl will dislike the page.lol

My initial thought was WTF? :eek: I've only got a couple of PR3's, then I thought that ^ must must be it lol
