PR7 Backlink and no linkjuice ... ???

So i finally got my hands on a AA PR7 (nofollow) page, Scrapebox you still deliver!

I made a handwritten post with a link in the comment section. It has been almost 2 weeks now, i'm the only one with a link and that page and it got indexed (double checked it on g0gle webmasters t00ls) and still no movement on the serps ... nothing ... not a ripple on the horizon!!

What happened, i just don't understand it ... about a year ago i would have been on the first spot on no time .... i'm thinking seriously to throw in the towel!!

Yes, but still, a PR7 no follow doesn't give anything?
 
still many debates on do follow and no follow going on on basically any IM forum. However more gurus say that no follow is good to maintain natural link portfolio only. Based on my experience - it is about right.
 
Yes, the old do-no follow discusion is never going to be solved.
I always believed in a natural link portfolio, so that's why i almost always manual comment and only on +4PR pages. But no link juice what so ever in a not so competetive market from a PR7 no follow link really surprises me!
 
Well its nofollow which means they can't "vouch for the linked site. Still gives some sort of value though.
 
It doesn't pass PR but I believe it passes D/A and P/A, if you care about those metrics at all. However, I can't find a source confirming this.
 
Another thing to consider is that the PR7's value is relative to the other sites in the search results. Maybe it does have juice, just not enough to effect movement.

The value it gives is traffic. Haven't you noticed any after the link held there? Traffic is better than the juice, especially if the traffic is targeted, and if you're able to convert. It also depends on how great was your comment there...
 
Quickly make another related money site, put some money-making links on it, offer great give-away to the list... then post another comment on that pr7 page, get targeted traffic, convert and make money.

And... don't throw in the towel when you have a traffic, targeted too, coming your way! You can have a steady stream to many different money sites that you can now experiment with.:)


Forget the juice! You can have a steady traffic, without having a PR or an SE rank...

The answer is simple - It's no follow. If it were do follow, your site would have done a little dance and ultimately rose in the SERP.
 
Obviously it is no follow. I mean you would have known by now but even then my part of contribution.

I've been a little bit to "obsessed" lately to get my money sites back on the first place (where they sticked for nearly 2 years). I'm in the travel business so december is one of the most important months of the year for me, i've allready seen my traffic fall down so hard that it isn't funny anymore ...

The PR7 page has nothing to do whatsoever with my niche but i tought, hey, couldn't harm right ...
I'll send you another not related PR6 page that i was going to use by PM, you can use it yourself or give it to someone. I don't have time to build another site, i'm to busy trying to get my 2 moneysites back on track, combined with an startup offline business (in witch i invested about 20k) that depends on those 2 sites! So, back in search for targetted traffic!

You have the ability to find good PR-high value pages on the internet. Use it wisely. Nothing is completely useless, and no-follow has its own advantages.

Re.: Unable to create new money sites to utilize those high PR pages advantages if you are too busy? You can always have some free time in future! Or you may give a new career to one of your dear ones or friends in need with the idea...:D. They can change their lives with this, and they shall be of course eternally thankful to you!

Check LinkedIn for promotion + targeted traffic. It has worked tremendously for a friend. For travel, it's super saturated, but you can get to top with being active there. Already you have shown that you can make friends, so I know you can really go distances! lol

If I remember it right, Matt Cutts said that disavow tool simply makes submitted links nof0low. Conclusion from this: only dof0llow links can affect website`s ranking.

Thanks (and for the rep), finding high PR's is not that difficult, you just have to use the right footprints ;) Maybe i will have to build a little business around this in the future.

I have no time to build more sites, my offline business and 2 years old doughter and wife take all of my time ... I'm a freelance graphic designer and stumbled on this site to learn and share but i rather share things with people who don't ask for it and try to answer posts in a constructive way!

Indeed Christmass came soon this year, lol, use the link carefully it really is pecious stuff!

Never tought of Linked In to drive targetted traffic, will check it out!
 
LI is chiefly B2B IMO, but it should also be able to get you paying customers. You only need to find the right way to get those end-users via LI. IMO again, there shouldn't be any limitations to a site like that! I do not have much experience of that site though. I saw a friend getting steady traffic of customers from that site and he is in a similar niche as yours.
