Thanks for this. The pages linked suck definitely but there's still a lot of gold to mine from that site. I've been doing some digging and so far I have over 2000 page with PR 3-5. I've done a random check and I'd say 70+% have no comments at all. I'm only half way done with the categories too so by the time I'm done I'll probably have over 5k pages to drop a link on... Not too shabby for a single site. Get creative rather than following the herd and you'll be more successful.
haha - people are wasting their time posting on ANY page with that many links. It will help you get a page indexed but the benefit to your SERP will be minimal. This site was posted in a WSO so that is where most of the traffic is coming from - not here. This is the same dickhead (along with the short sighted people at SENuke) that helped kill KickApps too. Webshots will just update their CMS and turn profile links to no-follow. Sharing link drops isn't wise in a public forum unless you are using it as a diversion.
I was referring to the idiot who made the WSO's - Backlink Goldmine series. That is where the influx of spam originated.
I still stand by thinking it is stupid sharing link-drop locations. Go through the history of this category and you will see that every link that gets posted becomes useless because people can't control themselves and spam the url's until they drop dead. So many links on the one page makes the effort worthless. Nothing wrong with sharing the sites but be prepared to make the site useless for yourself.
If you want to find an unlimted supply of high quaility backlinks then reverse engineer an internet marketers website that ranks high in a very competitve market and replicate. Learn how to use Yahoo Site Explorer, SEOQuake, Google search queries, and you will never run out.
Go to the warrior forum if you must and get the backlinks from the people selling the backlink packages - they really are that stupid that they promote their own sales page with the same links they are trying to sell.
Look for footprints to find similar engines. Create macros to automate these similar engines. There are many smarter ways of finding unique pages that are rendered useless by crazy spam.

I posted 10 links on this site yesterday. 3 were on PR5 albums and the rest were on PR 3/4 picture pages. None of the pages had been used for link dropping so I won't be sharing any juice with anyone until someone else finds them. Most of them only had 2-3 regular user comments on them - if any.
I do agree though that direct linking to individual pages is stupid because people can't seem to think outside the box and just spam what's linked rather than finding the good stuff that hasn't been commented to death.
A better idea would have been to just post to webshots.com and let people find their own pages to comment on. There are enough of them that the links would have been spread out to hundreds/thousands of posts rather than just one and if they're too lazy to do a bit of research to find some high PR internal pages then they don't deserve the help anyway.
I definitely appreciate the OP though because it gave me a whole new direction for link building to look at and from what I've seen so far it's virtually untapped.

You will have to excuse me for misinterpreting your post then, english is not my first language . When I first discovered webshots I only used it to get fast indexing for other web properties that I was promoting but since I move to PPC the site is useless for me.Anyways I guess what I'm trying to say is that sharing links or sharing money making methods in a public forum will always decrease their value but if we dont share anything whats the whole point of being here?
For those who can't make links clickable - you can't just type in an address here, you have to use an "A HREF" tag. Ie you create it as a link the same as you would create a text link on any html webpage. It doesn't auto link website addresses but it DOES accept basic html.
