Errmmm... can someone explain this to me. I have a parked domain that all of a sudden jumped from a PR0 to PR2. How did that happen? I have done almost no SEO on it yet, as I have other tasks to do first. weird!

Maybe since many sites pull newly acquired domain names from archive.org and other lites that list recently expired domain names - all of these sites pointed links back to your parked domain??

Thats really my only explaination i can think of.

hmmm....site was registered in march, had been expired for about 6months...had only 1 existing link still pointing to it....
weird.

and here I've been promoting a website for two months and only got a PR of 1 so far lol.

My SEO tactic to gain PR would be to park it. pfffttt!!!

PR is strange. I believe you shouldn't worry much about PR.

yeah I know, but i instantly began to think how I could sell the site. lol.

I think the thing is that links within a site that is ******** linking to some other site, lose's tremendous value for PR. If you don't link out, lets say 0 outbound links with no ******** links, I believe Google counts the link to be more valuable.

Yeah, that actually makes sense. As it's a parked domain, now has 3 links pointing to it and no links pointing out.

lol...I checked one of my parked domains after I read this thread and its now PR1....I cant believe it...I didnt touch this just parked it and its pR1

yeah, checked the domain and it has a PR6 a Pr4 and another PR4 pointing to it, making a PR2. Shows how much that PR6 is worth!
