I have some questions (maybe noob ones) and i hope someone can enlighten me.

Does Page Rank have anything to do with Page Authority/Domain Authority ?
When i am building backlinks whats is better to aim for ?

For example lets say i have two pages: Page A has PR5 and PA30/DA70, and Page B has PR1 and PA48/DA81, what page will be better for me to have a backlink on.

Until not so long i thought that PA is somehow related to PR, so if a page had PR2 it also had PA 20-30, but these day i noticed it isn't like that.
I hope someone has an accurate answer. thx.

The Page A will shoot up your rankings so quickly, but you need tons of Page B to achieve the same result. PA/DA/CF/TF/MT and a lot more metrics shown on 3rd party sites are not used by Google. It's always better to rely on (Larry)Page rank as long as it exists in Google Algorithm.

Agree :) but PR not updated since many months ago

A good DA means an authority and gives you a better chance of ranking than sites with low DA. PR is actually manipulated but good PRs also mean good DA. It's always in your best interest to have them both, you will rule the SERP once you back it up with some powerful links.

Let me answer that question with another question - Page Rank is determined by Google, PA/DA is determined by Moz, which one of these two is the deciding factor in your site ranking in GOOGLE?

DA and PA can EASILY be manipulated. Simply by sending thousands of spam backlinks to the site. They are probably the worst metrics out there for determining the quality of a site. Though they can be an indicator of an authority site, it's not the end all be all.

PR is obviously far more important, but the problem with PR is that we don't really know what the PR of anything is. Toolbar PR and the ACTUAL PR of a page are not the same thing. Site A can have a PR of 4.1394 and site B can have PR of 4.592 and site B will pass significantly more link juice in spite of toolbar PR appearing the same. Not to mention, toolbar PR gets updated less and less regularly these days. The toolbar PR that we see today is an oversimplified brief snapshot in history of what the page once WAS at the time of the last update.

I've found the best metric to look at is either Majestic Citation and Trust Flow, or Moz Page/Domain Trust. These are much more difficult to fake than PR or DA/PA. When it comes down to it the only thing that matters is the backlinks. If a site has quality and authoritative backlinks from trusted sources I don't give two craps what the PR/PA/DA whatever is. If this site has got NY Times, CNN, .edu, .gov, etc.. high authority do follow links, then I'm in, it's a domain I want my link on.

When building backlinks to your site, don't worry about these metrics. If you're wearing a whiter hat look for authoritative sites relevant to your niche. If you're donning your blackhat then you can be very successful ignoring that advice.

You can go with page A (High PR site). For building backlinks, both plays an important role. When you compare with page A, page B are not very important IMO.
