PR using redirects instead of direct links

Hi,

I have been working with a couple of PRs in the past and now I noticed that they do not publish direct links but implement 301 redirects.
Does this make a big difference in terms of linkjuice?
Do I now need to create Tier2 links to the redirects?

any example? which PR site doing it?

It doesn't make any difference since 301 redirects transfer almost all the link juice from a url or domain to the target site.
