Who cares about this metrix which was never much good and these days is all but meaningless all I can think to do is clap, and get back to work...

When will people learn that PR (PageRank) is merely a marketing tool for Google. Seems those in the third world still cling onto this increasingly useless metric...

That is correct. As an SEO expert myself I know the tremendous value that PR plays on ranking high on Google.

PR still has it's great value because it has an indirect impact on ranking as well, so stop the misconception.

Website flippers do care about the PR. It's a good metric to use when you're buying/selling websites.

PR doesn't matter like it used to.I have a site with PR4 and it gets no traffic.I have another site that's PR1 and gets about 1000 UV a day.

It's unfortunate he used those words and having lived in Asia and the Orient for 17 years it is a word I would never use, but I guess maybe he made a mistake - I don't know the guy myself...

All I can say about Asia and the Orient is that if he meant this area it is best part of the world I have ever lived in...

My third world reference is in regards to less developed nations and a mindset of a people that is content using yesterday's technology. In this case, it's the thought that PR is like it some silver bullet in SEO or some sort of actual value placed on a site. How much money a site makes is what matters, not PR unless you are selling links to those still riding the PR bandwagon.

Newsflash people... You don't need high PR links to rank a site. Tried, tested and proven by myself. I know this is a kick in the nuts to the PR junkies and link sellers, but it is flat out honest. Relevance is working quite well. But skipping the whole opinions of how to rank sites, look at what a Google employee stated:

Not only this but take PR for example, getting a link from a high PR page used to always be valuable, today it?s more the relevance of the site?s theme in regards to yours, relevance is the new PR.

You do have to be very careful with what you choose to disavow! Again, use your intuition here. Don?t just cut all the links below a certain PR, a low PR website is not necessarily bad, the relevance of the topic of the website and above all, its authenticity are much more important than just the PR.

It's true, and you can look at the service providers who are generating quick results here as proof. Interlinking is kicking ass and not taking any names while driving sites up to the front page of Google. Interlinked PR NR blog posts, interlinked PR NR web 2.0 profiles, interlinked PR NR articles, etc. are getting the job done quite effectively. Link to your tiers with relevant text, and you will see the results for yourself. :)

You can either keep tripping over your dick spending a lot of money buying high PR links that don't give you the boost they once did or spend far less money/some time creating relevant contextual links that work wonders. The choice is yours. I'm not here to appease or lie to anyone. Each time someone talks about a goofy PR update, they are simply giving Google free advertising for a metric that is anywhere from 2-4 weeks old and is no longer anywhere near effective as it once was.

I think complaining about pr is not relevant. Has anyone's PR actually changed? Mine Hasn't

So many people
base the quality of a backlink
solely on its pagerank
today these people rise up
only to fall to their knees
overcome with joy

For the rest of us it's business as usual.

That is an insane answer the poster expressed his explanation on experience and backed it up with referenced links, than you zap his post...

Maybe take your high flying sputnik back to Mars as your rocket has no idea what is going on down here on earth...
