Pr storm got me in trouble

I recently Did two 1.2 million sessions with pr storm using a 1.5mb connection and a 2mb connection.
long story short my isp called me up and quarantined my connection. 500 dollars was my fine, I had to pay for the bandwidth I used but seriously 500 dollars worth wtf?


Moral of the story

Do not run this program on your isp buy a dedicated server

thats sad..... im sorry to here that thanks for sharing your story i was just looking at pr storm trying to figure out what it do and i read it could cause some problems i hope everything work out im shocked that the isp company found out about this i cant believe it.... wow that is a good lesson learned
 
Yes if your thinking about doing this please consult with your isp first to know your limits or you will fined from 100-10 thousand dollars. I had a business connection on roadrunner internet. Same as cox and comcast.

Make sure you get drunk at home. I can easily see you racking up another $500 in expenses depending on where you go drunk.
 
Why do people do this kind of stuff without reading the 1.2MILLION warnings first? EVERY thread on this forum involving PRstorm mentions the trouble you can get into, with MASS submission.

Without insulting your intelligence, what did you think google was going to do to your site that generated 100,000+ backlinks in a couple days? Ban it.

Most ISP's have something in their TOS about excessive pinging, port scanning, etc, it's simply not allowed. And yes 1.2million pings is a shitload of bandwidth, compared to standard users, be happy to pay $500 and keep your connection.

On an added note, I sent out 1000 hits, split in 2 sessions. 1 hit, 40 threads. Done in 5min, ISP don't give a crap if they even notice, it's done so fast.

Thanks for the post, hopefully this will discourage more people from using it, so those of us with some common sense, can reap the benefits longer.

Also you should of told them you were infected with a virus of some sort and didn't know it was happening. Call a computer repair friend of yours have him make you a "virus removal" receipt stating some "infection" and send that to your ISP.

Again... 2x 1.2 Million hits! WTF were you THINKING?

for people of not that great intelligence I didn't read the warnings just trying to warn people before it happens to them.

And I pay more then 600 a month for my business line so I should have enough bandwidth but I dunno.

Did you ISP say how much you went over by? Just curious how much bandwidth that many sessions would use. Sorry to hear about your fine, that blows!

No but I talked to the abuse manager who gave me a break and said That I could get 5 thousand dollars in fines or 500.

I had chosen the obvious answer of 500 and he said never to do it again or run anything like it again.

Called him a nice man sucked up to him.

Then I got new internet... Also I bought a dedicated server for xrumer and prstorm


btw prstorm wasnt just for 1 site was rotating over 60 sites.

Yes another stupid move. Even on a dedicated server all somebody has to do is look at your bandwidth usage and know something is going on. They may even pull the plug on your box due to abuse whether you are paying for BW or not. And if your using UNLIMITED BW which by the way doesn't exist, they will pull your box for abusing it. Wake up fella!

After using PR storm 1 or 2 minutes, my internet connection doesn't respond until ı restart my modem. Now I understand....
 
I don't understand what exactly PR storm does, I used it once. Turned it off and forgot about it. Does it work in small doses? ...Sorry about your fine, I woulda told them to go fuck themselves and disconnected the line and had a lawyer write them a letter for $150.

Seems way too many links too fast.
Try to slow it down a bit on your new server, even though it is a dedicated server. Google will slap you for too many links too fast.

Damn man, I occasionally curse my ISP for high prices and low speed but I never ever had any problems with bw, upload, torrent and any kind of ISP regulation. No one is even paying attention to these. Guess my situtation is not that bad. I should consider myself lucky.

btw: one ride with prstorm 10$ :)
 
Haha :P shit luck. ISP here doesn't have such things i believe, my friend told thought theres some shit on their TOS :P need try out sometime in future. just for fun
 
oh dam... that really sucks man. Hope you drank a couple of 40's to this... :p
 
Try doing it in MODERATION. I have been using it for months on many of my sites with no problems.
