    Hey

I am buying a domain which is 10 years old and has a pr of 5 but I will be placing up different content up as it had before (since the domain and the topic are not directtly relevant).

How risky are my chances to lose this PR , since the PR is what gives me the golden ticket to rank it up faster on certain keywords for the new page !

    Any advises ?

    Thanks...

Well I guess the domain has some backlinks pointing to it (which you obviously dont change hence nothing to worry there..)... but it also depends on your content... which you are changing, make it sure it's as unique as possible...

Besides, I wouldn't go into the PR ideology too much - I've killed with PR 0 domains :)

Go on with your relevant content.Probably the rank is due to the backlinks which will still be there if you change your content.A good content can boost your site well enough and by thus when you get farther rank that will be far stable than before.
