PR backdating

Anybody know if this is possible?

For example, Client A has been around for 20 years but nothing is showing up on Google from the last 5 years. Can you submit articles or content for 2014-2017 to pad the gaps?

Don't think its possible unless you host your own server and modify the dates in database.
