I've been researching buying some pendingdelete domains recently and noticed something weird going on with Pagerank and Domain Authority. Usually the two are pretty much inline with each other but I've been coming across a few domains that have high Domain Authority but little to no Pagerank, like 1 or even 0. Does that mean the site has been banned by Google so it has no value or that Google removed its PR when the domain wasn't renewed?

I know the domain will lose its PR atleast temporarily once the domain is deleted but I don't want to buy something thats been flagged by Google for obvious reasons.

    Thanks for your help.

Heres an example: jamesline.com is in pendingdelete right now. Its about to drop any minute now.

But having researching it, it has no PR but a Domain Authority of 55. Typically the 2 should be in-line which means the PR should atleast be 4 or even 5. Looking at wayback machine all pages are clean, the site has been inactive for over a year, it was being used to 302 redirect to a new site. Checking ahrefs.com all links appear to be clean it was never used for spamming. Then why has it been de-indexed and have no PR?

Why would you wish to buy something that has been hit by Google?? do you have any ideas with doing that??

it's really hard to say if the expired status triggered the PR drop or some type of Google penalty. As of right now there isn't really a way to tell that I'm aware of. You're using all the right tools to check strength and backlinks, your best bet might be to just test it on 1 or 2 domains where the DA doesn't match up with the PR. The PR has always come back for me, but limited sample size as I haven't done a ton of drop catching. Hopefully someone who reads this post will have already tested and can fill us in... if not please let me know what you find.
