Hey there,

I'm sorry, it's maybe not worth making a new thread about this but I just have to ask you some questions since I'm pretty much an noob here.

Well, I've found a domain that has page rank 2 for sale. It only cost the normal price at godaddy, $9.99. Would it be worth buying this domain, mainly for link building? Maybe for some Fiverr gigs? Or would someone buy this domain if I would buy it?

Also, does it matter if the name of the domain is just random, or should it be in a specific niche for it to be worth something?

Thanks, every answer is appreciated,

Rob.

You should know probably 90% of GoDaddy PR domains are fake. You better do your due dilligence before even paying $10. Check age, number of backlinks, where the backlinks are from, any keywords in the domain, what kind of relative keywords can you find that generate traffic, on and on but that's a start.

Good luck

Thanks,

well I've checked the site on different pr checkers on the net, and all of them shows that the domain is a pr 2. Accourding to expireddomains (dot) net, the site has no backlinks what so ever. Is that a reason that the domain hasn't been registered yet? Because almost all of the higher pr domains are already registered, exept for this one.

Also, I found a .org pr 3 domain. That hasn't got any backlinks to it either..

Use the coupon in this sub-forum and you are down to a $5 buying decision. As someone who has bought hundreds of domains without any return on investment, try to have a rough idea of what you are going to do with the site before buying. I'd say it's definitely worth something, but there are other factors (competition, type of industry, etc.) to consider. Good find!

Just a domain, even if it's PR2 is not worth anything really...

That's the reason why it's selling for only 10 bucks.

Oh, okay. Thanks anyways.
