PPTP VPN disconnected

Hi guys,

Can you please help me with the proxies or vpn. I have got my own vps with 128mb of ram and 10gb of diskspace, I am currently using centos and I have installed pptp vpn on my server. I got no problem with my server where I can access to the sever with the username and password. I have got a little problem with the pptp vpn on windows when my server goes down. Sometimes I get the disconnect after when I connect to the server for a while before my server goes down.

Do you know how i can automatically reconnect to my server without access to my ISP when my server goes down?

I'd really want to know how to reconnect to my server if it goes down so i will keep annoymous online to stay safe without getting the catch. I am bit scary that if there isn't a way to solve I could get catching and get my accounts banned.

If vpn isn't good for me which if it not possible to to reconnect to my server on windows pptp vpn, then I would switch to proxies which it would be much safer but I would need to know how to set up the proxies on my server to keep it highly anonymous like what yourprivateproxy are using.

Any advice would be much appreicated.

Yes, you need to setup a dynamic DNS. I suggest No-IP.com because it's free and easy to use...

Basically what happens is this.. When you connect to your VPS, you use the IP they provide you. Then when you connect the VPN, it makes it so you can't connect using the original IP. If it disconnects or changes IPs, you go through the same thing again.

A dynamic DNS works like this.... You setup your hostname (eg, chris0147.no-ip.org) and load the No-IP.com client software onto your VPS. This will make it so that your hostname ALWAYS points to the *current* IP address of your VPS.

Say you start with IP 254.213.12.13.. your hostname will point to this IP. Now you connect your VPN, which changes your IP to 211.45.65.231, your hostname will NOW point to this new IP. Then your VPN changes IPs to 65.45.231.123, your hostname will NOW point to this new IP.

So chris0147.no-ip.org is always pointing to the *current* IP address. Very simple stuff, handy and easy to use.
