PPI confusion.. hope someone can explain

hey guys
as reading threads in PPI forum section i get more confusing as time goes by..
i am doing cpi with android or ios mobile apps. and i only thought cpi/ppi was to install apps from mobile phone..
but if not wrong i can see cpi/ppi is not only occuring with mobile phone but with internet exe? rar? files...

can please someone explain? is there 2 types of cpi/ppi? mobile app and exe/rar??
and how do they work?

Depending on platform (desktop/mobile) you will see much more difference in monetisation and logic. Mobile PPI from my POV is more streamlined and understandable for newbies. Desktop PPI is more of umbrella term for a bunch of moneymaking schemes from downloading and installing some files.

You may see a lot of noise about distributing .rar files just because this is a pretty legit scheme these days, just a bypass of browser's security.

Think of CPI as Mobile Installs and PPI as desktop installs.

With CPI networks like Ogmobi,you can create Appwalls which when visited on Mobile shows up as a list of Apps to install to unlock content.
With PPI networks like Revenyou,you can create Program Installers that come bundled with additional software. When a user downloads your installer and installs this additional software,you get the $$. This is for PC program installers.

from your experience, which platfrom vis desktop/mobile is better at earning and why? where can you do desktop ppi? which websites?

i only know 1 CPI network which is sharep0p. its where you get your own url with aff id, and once you distribute that url , you can monitor your performance from their website. is there other CPI network like sharep0p? and does PPI works the same way?
