Fakes is illegal but most of the people here do it. The key is twist it to make fake things real. :)

Trust me you can't get in trouble. 80% of PPD is fake. The networks don't care. Even if they get DMCA, they will just delete that one file, not your whole account.

That's a bit short-sighted. Of course you *can* get in trouble. You only need one pissed off visitor who devotes the time into suing you and if you're in a comfortable (for them) jurisdiction and haven't done a very good job hiding your tracks then it can quickly result in a lengthy court case.

But with that said, obviously most people won't bother as there are really no losses involved. This, combined with hiding their tracks is how most PPD people do it. But there's always a risk and it's extremely misleading to say that there isn't.

Persons searching for "Game hacks, Cheats, Keygens, Cracks" Couldn't have the audacity to go into court and say "Your honor this man gave me a fake crack/game hack =["

To the gaming industry and software industry you're actually doing them somewhat a favor. With the high amounts of fake/non-working programs most of the real things are hidden.

How can fake files be illegal? O-o My way of making sure my files seem legit is to corrupt the file. Who knows at the time of upload it could've been working. Things and times change and files get corrupted.

Depends if it's worth catching you. If you're a huge fish and making millions with fake files... I would make sure that my tracks are covered. But for now, chillax =D
