PPC Journey to $250/Day

Hey everyone.

I decided that I would make one of these "Journal Threads". At first I thought they were extremely annoying, but I can somewhat see the point of them now. Perhaps I am being hypocritical, but oh well. Don't like it? GTFO! Just be happy they have their own section now.

So, here is my plan. If it fails, to hell with it, TBH. I have other income sources and I don't want to aggravate myself too much, but if I can make it work without too much pain and frustration, then all the better!

I will be promoting rebill offers via PPC networks. I will not disclose the niche just yet. I will reveal it once I am either 100% successful (ie; $250/day) or completely fail (lose my ass $$$).

Here is what I have done thus far:

-Purchased 10 domains (.com).
-Created 10 landing pages for list building/pre-sell/PPC compliance (this isn't the greatest niche for list building, but we will give it a shot, right?)
-Created TAC's, TOU's, and PP's for the landers.
-Threw up some legible content in order to not piss off network.
-Created new list in Aweber account.
-Purchased new hosting package from the BOSS hosting company, Hostwinds.
-Drank a couple Mikes Harder Lemonade (yes, it's bitch beer, but damnit! It tastes good!)
-Set aside a $1500 testing budget.
-Prayed to several god's and various golden idols that this will work.
-Started this thread.

That is pretty much it for now. I may even jump into PPV depending on what this does. But, I digress. I will have to have a bigger budget for that.

I will update this everyday, at around this time, maybe sooner if something awesome happens. I am planning on utilizing around $500 of my budget for finding hot keywords, fine-tuning, etc...

Anyhow, I gotta go tweak some things before I click the "Launch Ads" button. Wish me luck!

(Oh yeah, any pointers are welcome! Trust me, I will listen. I am not an IM noob, but definitely a PPC noob!)

Alright, so I woke up just about 20 minutes ago and logged into my PPC account to check some stats.

Result:

5041 Impression
14 Clicks
$2.41 Spent
0 Conversions.

Ad serving is slooooow. I am thinking about expanding my KW's to broad match, rather than phrase. What do you think?

Alright, so I now have:

19,769 Impressions
163 Clicks
6 Conversions.
Total spend = $41
Total Profit = $12 (this is a $4.95 trial, with a $30 unlimited rebill, of which I get $18, so we will have to see)

I eliminated a few kw's that weren't performing, therefore concentrating on the converting kw's. All the landing pages are converting at about the same ratio. Go figure.

Anyways, I will keep everyone posted.

I've been looking into delving more into PPC recently. Are you doing any AB testing for ad copies or landers?

Awesome stuff man, looks like you are profitable right away. I bet this campaign has potential to make you jump at your goal right away. I have done a lot of PPC and still do it, Hit me up if you need any help and I'll be glad to help ya.

What does TOU mean? And by TAC and PP, u mean terms and conditions and privacy policy respectively?
And can you give more details (except your niche ofcourse) ?

Are you using adwords or some other ad network. If adwords, are you using search network or content network?
Did you face any problem in getting the ads approved? Whats your quality score like?
What percentage of clicks to your lander go on and subscribe to your mailing list? Whether its single optin or double optin?
Are you offering a freebie or ebook or any incentive to sign up or are you blasting your offer in the very first email?

I'm curious, rebills sound cool but how many people actaully rebill without cancelling first and the affiliate company pays for?

If you mean AB testing as split testing, then yes, I am. Prosper202 and 10 different landers, plus lots of diff. ad copies.

Terms of Use. I will give more details, like I said in my original post, when either I fail completely or make my goal. I don't need more competition on the way up.

IDK, that is why I am experimenting. I just like getting cash again and again from a single sale (hopefully).

Alright, so here is the next update. It's SHIT!

Impressions = 47,936
Clicks = 352
Conversions = 6 <<<------ BULLSHIT! Because that is the SAME as it was this morning, with 161 clicks. Wtf?
Total Spend = $94.28
Avg CPC = $0.26

I got rid of non performing KW's and such and no new conversions. LOL! What y'all think?

Looks good, will keep an eye on the thread and will see how this turns out.
