Hi Friends,

Other than opening my Google account and typing in 'keywords', is there are general way of determining how much a 'keyword' will cost?

I know there are some services that will help you determine this (but i'm not so sure how accurate they are).

Thanks for any constructive input you can offer....

You will need an active account with significant spend before you can see accurate information in Google's Keyword Planner, but it does work pretty well and gives a good idea of search volume and CPC.

Otherwise, you're probably looking for a tool like Moz or SEMrush.

Thanks buds....That dayum Google is making a fortune!

I find most of these estimates to be overpriced, even in Google's research tool. You should get a decent amount of traffic underbidding.

I am using SEMRush for that. But you should know, that even if you look at Google Adwords keyword tools - that's just an estimation

No tool will tell you an accurate cost for the keyword. But you can get estimate from SEMrush or GKT

I have also found that the Google keyword planner over estimates. But, the top of page bid stats are pretty accurate from what I have seen. Also, try looking for any keywords that nobody is bidding on, most of those will definitely be under $1.
