A case I was just made aware of.

Guy bought high 5 figures worth of PPC ads.

Forgot to set Cloudflare to loose setting.

CF detected the influx as a DDoS attack.

Clients met with slow verification nag screen or captcha challenge page.

Conversion rate 0.00001%

Guy is F&F = Fucking Furious

Basically trashed 5 figures worth.

So, kids, if you plan on a drastic change to your traffic pattern, make sure to configure your reverse proxy provider accordingly.

Lost 4 figures recently doing something similar.

CF broke my Jotform lead capture form on my landing page. Drove traffic for two days and got no leads, checked why. Oh.. thats why.

I checked the site after enabling Cloudflare but silly me checked a cached version.
 
Did Cloudflare notify about the influx of traffic? Asking because one of my sites has cloudflare
