Hey Guys,

I've heard a lot of people talk about the success they've had selling products through PPC campaigns.

I was wondering if anyone had Skype so I could ask a few quick questions?

Does PPC really work out that well? I have certain Pharmaceutical products I sell and would ideally like to target product keywords.

Thanks

BHPlatinum,

This is a great question. The main thing that will make you successful in PPC advertising is constructing a streamlined "funnel" or "path" for users to follow in order to convert. Landing page optimization is one of the most important factors in having success with any type of PPC advertising. Also, research industry standard CTR's, keyword cost per click, and conversion rates for the products or services you are selling. This will help you know if you are successful or not.

Be sure to include keywords that you used in your ads in a prominent place on the landing page. Users need to know they landed in the right place after they have clicked on your ad. You also need to deliver what it was that the ad promised them. For instance if your ad text says "Buy XYZ product only 9.99", this text should also be on the landing page.

Make it as easy as possible for users to complete the action that you want them to complete. Whether it is signing up for a newsletter, buying a product or service or something else, make it as easy and simple as you can.

Here is a good post about PPC advertising,

I highly recommend this book (you can get it in eBook form) for conversion optimization,

Good luck and I hope this helps you,

do you know how to create adwords accounts with vouchers only without getting banned ?

100% stay away from pharmaceutical campaigns. I've been doing agency PPC work for almost 7 years, and the very few pharmaceutical campaigns I've worked with are a nightmare. Almost everything in that vertical contradicts industry best practices. If you're interested in learning a little more though PM me your skype, I'm at work and I don't know my username off hand. Should be on like 8pm EST
