Help! What are powerlikes?

I was wondering about it as well. From the name I assumed, likes from high authority accounts. That means aged accounts with lots of followers, high engagement of posts like Instagram celebrities.
I could be wrong as I only assumed it.

This is what they are.
Not exactly high authority accounts but more like big Instagram accounts with thousands of followers which have lots of content and get too many likes on their pictures too.
Powerlikes are helpful if you're trying to grow and the accounts are from your niche. To clarify, an account in Troll Niche with a million followers liking your pictures in Digital Marketing niche still wouldn't be as effective as a like from Digital Marketing based account with 200K-300K followers.

It is exactly like that, targeted niche matters but not that much, just get likes from big accounts with good engagements, what happen is that if a big account like your post there is a chance that your post goes to the explore page of all the active followers of that big account and you can goviral.
Keep in mind is just matter of chance like it is and algorithm that understand users intent according to behavior, so if you get power likes from couple of big accounts more chances you have to get into the explore page of thousands of users.

Just large active accounts liking and commenting on your photo. As others have said they should be in your niche if you want them to be effective. This is because when you like a photo is shows up in the feed of your followers. If a big account likes one of your photos and they are in the same niche, their followers are likely to see your photo and want to follow your account as well.
In a journey thread on another forum I saw a member growing an account by 1,200 followers per day average when leveraging power likes and consistent viral content. The networks he was using were around 50m+. I think they were telegram groups that are 800k +. He has other big accounts so he has access to more resources than the average bear.

1. How was he leveraging power likes? Was he using his other large accounts which has 50m+ followers to make them power likes?

Hi, @Iracherkinskaya. It is basically a system where you buy from large Instagram accounts with lots of followers to like your posts. With those likes, your profile will get exposed and because of that, you will gain more followers and likes.

He was having large niche related accounts be the first to like and comment on his smaller accounts photos. This let them be seen by the large accounts followers.
Telegram is a messaging app that allows you to group message. The 800k group is a group which you have to have 800k followers to join.

Everyone saying that powerlikes are from large accounts, matured, and get lots of engagement on their own posts.
So, if any of you are buying "powerlikes" from providers that send you crappy 3k, 10k, 20k or even 30k accounts that get 10-100 likes and 1-30 comments per post; you have been duped. They were originally coined POWER likes, not likes from a lot of shitty accounts.
