It is the power of fame and social marketing combined. Fame has been around for a long time, but due to the communications infrastructure it was much more difficult to get a message out. Add the intertubes, facebook, twitter, etc. and you have a marketing reach within minutes that was impossible in the past to get in weeks.

I think you have been forgotten one thing about lady gaga, and about her fame is that she is using social media as one of her very powerful tool,

Yep, of course its going to be viral and what not, it's GAGA! *I don't like Gaga but hell it's normal for her to
