GSA is best set & forget tool for me. I just setup campaing for 30mins and it runs months without touching it.
Use private/semi-private(10 proxies is like ~10$/mo) proxies for tier 1, public proxies for tier 2.

please, avoid public proxies as much as possible when its in your budget. even with 10 shared proxies i wouldn't use public proxies for anything.

So anno 2015 how good is it now? I'm interested to hear you experience with this tool now. Still good or not? Google has changed the game alot since then

This is good. But why stop here?
GSA is good to have even for a website.
Just do it properly.
Good articles, at least semi-dedicated proxies.
Web 2.0, Articles, Wikis and Directories.
NEXT, import a good GSA list and you are good to go.

GSA works great for authority sites like youtube, it has to be used with much care for your self hosted domains.
