Was wondering what everyone's opinions are about using Document Sharing sites, such as Scribd, for building back-links from?

I recently came across a piece of software that gives you the ability of quickly turning articles into PDF's, instantly creating hyper-links based on a given keyword and then uploading those PDF's to doc. sharing sites all from within one application.

HOWEVER

Before I spend the small amount for the app (less than $40), I was wanting to get opinions on whether using doc. sites would be beneficial or not.

Thanks for any/all feedback.

I have used a few of them they do seem to create decent backlinks would you mind pm me the software as I would love to have a look at it

You can use Open Office or other freeware out there to quickly convert files to pdf with live links, no need to buy the app.

@zebrahat: When it comes to Open Office, I'm quite familiar with how it can create PDF's...

HOWEVER

What this app, which by the way is called Document Marketing Robot, can do is SO MUCH MORE than just creating PDF files!

But to stay on topic...what I'm looking for is advice on whether or not using Document Sharing Sites is actually worth MY TIME?

@Mattbowden ~ Thanks for the feedback man! I hope others can chime in with their feedback on whether or not they're (doc sites) are actually worth using!

Cheers!

Using doc sharing sites are definitely worth it for acquiring quality links. I just don't think it's worth the money to buy an app for the functions you mentioned, when the main function that matters is already covered by good freeware.

I am also wondering about the effectiveness of doc sharing sites. I have mostly been using them to create naked urls to my site as a way to dillute the exact anchors. I am wondering if they are actually worth doing for ranking purposes (exact/related anchors)

We do this as one of our services and its a great way to drive traffic and diversify links.
Highly suggested.

Rank Whizz is the best PDF / Doc bot. Search the forums for it. There is a coupon somewhere. It's a great bot. The owner is on here also.

Has anyone used Document Marketing Robot before?

This guy disappeared off the earth with a lot of peoples money.

doc marketing robot lets you create pdf or post your own.. when you create you can add in images / links etc. it posts manually or scheduled and also includes a ping + twitter poster to post out the urls for promo's.. it's still supported and updated unlike rankwhizz
