Potheads today!

Damn, I am pretty flabbergasted!

In my 20s, about 10 years ago, I used to smoke stash but finished once I became father. Now I stayed a few weeks in Amsterdam this year and was totally puzzled about the scene has changed from the ground. They are all smoking with vaporizers now!
In my time, those gears have been prostuff only, and we built them ourselves with hot-air syringes.

Now I saw the young guys with spacey things like that:



This is so crazy! I did not try it when I was there - Meanwhile I became a Milquetoast I guess... I guess todays weed is totally different to the one from the past - I heard it is modified nowadays and often turns out to be LSD-ish? hahaha - Just wanted share my amazement how thing are ever changing.

These vaporizers are mostly used for wax, it's becoming very popular nowadays. Wax is almost pure THC, so it gets you higher w/o smoking a lot. I live in Amsterdam but never used this and I'm actually not sure if weed can be smoked with this vaporizer, I thought it was for wax only. Correct me if I'm wrong! :canabis:

No they actually smoked weed with it. One guy told me that it is because of the smoking restrictions inside public buildings. Canabis smoking is only allowed without tobacco now.

I think people use those so they can get high without inhaling smoke. All the chemicals in rolling papers and left over fertilizers that didn't get flushed from the plants properly can't be to great on the lungs. Despite how stoner hippies claim weed smoke is the best thing that could ever happen to your lungs I doubt it's true lol.

I've heard mixed reviews about vaporizers. Apparently you need to smoke more quantity otherwise you don't get as stoned. Cool thing is it vaporizes the THC crystals and leaves all the plant matter. Plus you can smoke almost anywhere (no smell, no smoke).

Okay, that's interesting! The smoking restrictions are pretty ridiculous yeah.. We are allowed to roll- and smoke joints in a coffeeshop, but they are pissed off when my cigarettes are laying on the table, weird.

"de Klos" is indeed a fantastic restaurant, the ribs are amazing!

Call me old school, but I've tried wax/ oils/ budder in all sorts of fancy contraptions, it just isn't the same as smoking a big fat blunt of flower; something in the experience is lacking. It's kind of like reading the Cliff Notes version of Shakespeare.

However I have yet to try the Sublimator...
